The “2006 Digital Cities Convention Taipei” will conduct three activities to encourage the sharing of experiences and outcomes among international digital cities from June 28th to 30th, 2006.
In addition to a series of topics for discussion, there will be case studies and IT discussions and other activities. The “2006 Digital Cities Convention Taipei” also will demonstrate the infrastructure outcomes of digital cities, which will allow the participants to experience the outcomes with live demonstrations. Also, there will be an awards ceremony recognizing those who contributed their efforts to the Taipei CyberCity Plan. The Taipei City Government will invite mayors to participate in the “International Cities Motion & Closing Statement” to discuss the roadmap for digital cities. We look forward to brainstorming with all the guests and reaching an overall consensus on for digital city development via the sharing of strategies and experiences during the Convention
The “2006 Showcase” – a feast of wireless broadband
“2006 Showcase” booths will be set around the convention, local and overseas governments, community organizations, international institutions and the private sector will jointly demonstrate the outcome of digital cities and technology applications, which will allow the participants to experience the digital beauty of Taiwan cities and international cities. We expect to achieve the following objectives through the Convention and Showcase.
